Will Turtle be eaten by Wolf? Will Grandfather Vulture save the day? Will Squirrel ever get to taste Turtle’s stew? And what about that Lazy Bee? Folk tales from Mexico and Argentina are brought to life in this dynamic new bilingual play, performed by the puppeteers at Tears of Joy Theatre.
This nationally recognized troupe, based in Vancouver, Washington, tours the United States and is a resident company at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts. Four of the group’s productions received American puppetry’s highest honor, the Citation of Excellence in the Art of Puppetry. Join Tears of Joy to celebrate the diversity of world cultures!
